José Antonio has been part of the Torres y Ribelles S.A. team for 35 years, serving as our IT Manager throughout that time. Last Friday was actually his last day in the office, as he is retiring.
To mark the occasion, we would like to pay tribute to him with this interview:Por este motivo, queremos rendirle un pequeño homenaje con esta entrevista:

José Antonio, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am passionate about computers and motorcycles. I have enjoyed, laughed, learnt, shared and lived so much during this time that work has been easy for me.

What did you like most about your job?
The challenges posed by the crazy, fast-paced evolution of computing create a feeling of always falling behind. RUN! LEARN! RESEARCH! You’re already late.

Tell us more about the IT department. What values do you emphasize at Torres y Ribelles?
We are a cutting-edge technology company, and so are you. We are constantly evolving, which I believe gives us an advantage over our competitors. We are breaking new ground, and although we don’t always succeed, every mistake takes us one step forward.

Now it’s your turn! What do you like to do in your free time?
Family, motorbikes, the beach and sport, in that order.

And when it comes to thinking about your retirement, what will you do?
Within the time and space allowed by my new bosses (my grandchildren 😉), I have several projects in mind: at home with my family, and of course THE BIG TRIP!!!
